Last year, our board and staff came together to develop a “theory of change” that connects the activities we do to the impact we seek. Let’s start with empowerment. That's where this work really sprung out of in looking at issues of homelessness, looking at issues of women on welfare, and looking at women in prison-- those who were really most affected and most in need of their voices being lifted. Young women of color, what are the issues that are most important to them?
