The Global Fund for Women: An Interview with Kavita Ramdas

Have Fun - Do Good

I had the opportunity to interview her on March 6th for the Big Vision Podcast, and have included an edited transcript of the interview below. I think what makes us unique is that we are really investing in women's leadership and women's creativity in developing local solutions to some of the world's most challenging problems. I think my favorite example of that is a women's group from the highlands of Bolivia who wrote to us maybe seven or eight years ago.

Women's Global Green Action Network: An Interview with Melinda Kramer

Have Fun - Do Good

Below is a transcript of an interview with her from the Big Vision Podcast. So many of these women are local leaders, and Women's Global Green Action Network is attempting to provide a space for women to step into roles of being global advocates, and to really have a more prevalent platform for the messages and the work that they are doing. So our first exchange that we did with Global Exchange was called "Transformative Advocacy in Bolivia."

Using Photography to Change the World: An Interview with Paola Gianturco

Have Fun - Do Good

I had an opportunity to interview Paola for the Big Vision Podcast, and wanted to share the transcript with you. I've now documented women's lives in 40 countries, over the past 10 or 12 years, and everywhere I went, I found women who were helping each other, local women. I went to 15 countries on five continents, and interviewed and photographed 129 women. I don't believe in doing interviews as the Spanish Inquisition.

Bringing Women a Global Voice: Jensine Larsen, World Pulse

Have Fun - Do Good

You can listen to my interview with Jensine on the Big Vision Podcast website, or on iTunes. The most powerful impact we found was actually in the women's leadership and influence locally. Just here in the Bay Area we have local things like, Oakland Local , Oakland Seen , and Spot.us. If your angle is using this training as an outlet for local empowerment and development, then you very much want to bring in mentorship.
