I just got back form the Economic Self-Reliance Conference at Brigham Young University in Utah. This practice was especially awarded at the ESR conference. Not the typical SROI calculation, but the dramatic point was that Flat World is making impact the center piece of their foray into Open Educational Resources (OERs).

The Tech Awards , an annual event that honors projects which use "technology to significantly improve human conditions," just unveiled their laureates for this year. Most interestingly, its technology will be shared almost in an open-source manner to increase the impact and reach.
