If you're looking for inspiration with a collections focus, the Underground Library is a compelling experimental space dedicated to archiving all media produced in Chicago. The library is run in the lobby of a theater company by a group of volunteers led by Nell Taylor.

Kristof told the story of a young man growing up in Alabama in the 1950’s who, embarrassed to read in public for fear of his image, had to steal books from the library and read in secret.
