Stacey Marie Garcia came to the MAH first as a graduate intern in the summer of 2011. Visitors bond and bridge through participatory experiences at MAH. The value of participatory experiences is epitomized in FIGMENT , a free, creative, participatory, non-profit, community art event.

We think about this redefinition of affinity not just in terms of our programming but our internal structures as well. As we developed new 3rd Friday community festivals , we were careful to design them as intergenerational experiences. Some of our best volunteers come from the County court referral system.
