We received two rounds of NSF funding in the 1990s to expand. At that point, we opened three new locations: Sanger , Greenfield , and a new San Francisco workshop in the Excelsior neighborhood because the Mission has changed so dramatically. We received NSF funding for three years and then it cut off. Geography is key.
