In Darah’s words: I basically started the site in November as a combination of social media interests and helping others in their fight vs cancer. The premise was that if I could sponsors of my site for a day, we would donate $1 for every new follower we received that day. She made the donation the next day and we were off.

Any fundraiser worth their salt knows they should be thanking people who donate or fundraise for their cause. The donor is the person who donates to the Facebook Fundraiser. Donors are usually friends, family, or colleagues of the fundraiser and are donating to support their friend, not necessarily your nonprofit.
