CMCE creates academic and artistic programs to help children and youth understand and overcome violent world events. Elana designed The Telling History Project: Understanding the Past to Create the Future , a curriculum to teach students about human rights. She also pioneered art-based healing programs in post-war Bosnia.

She goes through an intensive training program in an educational track, that teaches her about her rights as a woman in health, economy, society, and politics, among other things. We work in countries like Congo, Rwanda, Sudan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Kosovo, among others. Our country director in Rwanda was a refugee all her life.
