They were using music, dance, poetry, and storytelling, and they were succeeding. For me, that meant photography, which I have done since I was eight, and traveling, which I love. It is very different to interview sex workers who have been trafficked in Phnom Penh, than to interview women who are doing knitting in Bolivia.
