It was an incredible testament to the commitment and dedication of the nonprofit sector to put words to action - identifying needs and proposing concrete solutions. The task of narrowing the 24 teams down to three winners was a challenge, but for the 21 ideas that did not win the awards, the journey is not over yet.

She has been the recipient of many awards, including Fast Company's 2007 Social Capitalist Award, and the League of Women Voters' Women Who Could Be President Award. Each year we receive over 3,500 proposals from women's organizations all around the world. For others, I think it is thinking about making contributions.
