Anisha Desai is the Executive Director of the Women of Color Resource Center. Desai came to the Women of Color Resource Center from a Deputy Director role at United for a Fair Economy. And certainly, folks have always been welcome to be part of our celebrations and our policy work.

We work in countries like Congo, Rwanda, Sudan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Kosovo, among others. When we met her, Honorata was homeless. Our country director in Rwanda was a refugee all her life. Our country director in Bosnia was a survivor of the four-year siege of Sarajevo. That's the story of Women for Women.
