The final stop for my Micronesia trip was Guam, a U.S. Japan is the biggest source of tourists for Guam, with growing numbers from other Asian nations like South Korea. The FSM, which is made up of four distinct island states (Kosrae, Pohnpei, Chuuk and Yap) sent teams from each of their states as well as the national government.

The Federated States of Micronesia has its capital on Pohnpei (it's one of four states in the FSM), so we met with both leaders from the federal FSM government as well as from Pohnpei State. We visited the national capital in Palikir, which is about 8 miles away from Kolonia, the main town on Pohnpei.
