I am lucky to be able to contribute this passion to Benetech by providing outreach and membership support in Spanish to the commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Why shouldn’t students in Puerto Rico benefit from our technology and services? Bookshare, and the overall concept of technology serving humanity, was very well received.

An L3C, though, is a hybrid of an LLC and nonprofit business model, which is where an organization operates to benefit the general public without shareholders and without a profit motive.
