The show ended, and I immediately signed up to be a Women for Women International sponsor. They sat side by side to discuss the role of women in rebuilding society, women's rights and the new Constitution, and family law. Women for Women is a nonprofit that pairs women survivors of war with women sponsors all over the world.

They wanted to create a literacy program for themselves because now there was a school where their children could go to school, but they felt embarrassed that they couldn't support their children because they themselves were illiterate. The year before that, women in Morocco won an amazing change in the law.
