Scratch: An Educational, Multi-Generational Online Community that Works

Last week, I was reintroduced to Scratch , a graphical programming language designed by the Lifelong Kindergarten group at the MIT Media Lab. Everyone is instructed not to create usernames identical to their real names. The last three reflect the interests of the users--and not in quantity (i.e. most views) but in recency.
