Erickson founded FORGE (Facilitating Opportunities for Refugee Growth and Empowerment) in 2003 when she was a 20 year-old junior studying public policy at Stanford University. His idea is that he wants to recreate, in reverse, the walk that he made from Sudan all the way through Congo and into Zambia. He ran into Congo.
