The creativity and commitment shown by these groups are an inspiration. The legacy veterans’ groups weren’t meeting her needs. Instead, she began organizing monthly meetups in the Sacramento area. There was dinner and a speaker – and the group kept growing. Wherever they show up, they attract attention.

The instruction not only included the content – all the best practices and how-tos, but also took an approach that encouraged and developed reflection. We used a wiki and conference calls to check in as a group. Participants go off and work on their experiments. There was also one-on-one coaching. An Unanticipated Outcome.
