Historically, federal and state laws have viewed nonprofit and for-profit entities as mutually exclusive organizations whose work rarely, if ever, overlapped. It donates the products to impoverished people, preventing millions of hygiene-related deaths each year and encouraging vigorous childhood development (Clean the World, 2015).
