I bet I would have repeated my coworker’s advice in a tweet: “Get word to your parents if you can. My boss gave maternal advice. Could you illustrate your expertise & readiness regarding housing, nutrition, mobility, or animal care in the face of disaster? Tell them where you are. Wake them if you must.
