Linux desktops?

Most creatives and knowledge workers who are not developers. I use Ubuntu on a dual-boot (XP) machine. One minor point: have you tried Twhirl on Ubuntu? I’ve had one of the Dell 1420Ns sold with Ubuntu for a year now, and at this point all four of those things seem easy. Where is Linux not a good idea?
