The Boston Media Makers is a community of practice consisting of people in the Boston area who are making (new) media. The meetings take place the first Sunday of the month in Jamaica Plain. I'm going to flesh out my notes on the promotion and outreach discussion and put it as tutorial. I always learn so much when I attend.
