When we found out about Lovay Wallace-Singleton's new project to build a solar-powered organic garden in North Carolina, one that also brings rehabilitation and jobs to veterans, we had to talk to her. The mission of Transition Projects is to help people to transition from homelessness to permanent housing. The organization operates three emergency shelters and also provides free clothing, showers, bus tickets, rent assistance, computer access, job search assistance and many other things to help people become stabilized in their housing.
