They talked about the economic value of housework, and the importance of education and literacy in gaining economic independence."

They wanted to create a literacy program for themselves because now there was a school where their children could go to school, but they felt embarrassed that they couldn't support their children because they themselves were illiterate. I think my comment in The Nation was really more about that. No more "women's issues."
