When I was in Cambodia, I was told that most Cambodians don't celebrate their birthdays. particularly those in rural areas who don't keep formal calendars. When I purchased the above card from a street vendor in Phnom Penh for Sara's birthday, I asked her why she sold birthday cards if people didn't celebrate the day?
