The Migel Medal, often called the highest honor in the blindness field, is awarded annually to one or two individuals whose careers exemplify exceptional accomplishments in the field. Helen Keller, who worked for AFB for many years, was on the original award board for its first twenty years, starting in 1937.

We’re against piracy, and have made commitments to authors and publishers to encourage compliance with copyright law. We develop free and open source software to help groups capture the stories of human rights abuse, and store and back them up securely in another country. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. Wonderful stuff.
