Japan has a structured system based on their Law for the Recycling of Specified Kinds of Home Appliances and their Law for Promotion of Effective Utilization of Resources. We dispose of over 130 million cell phones every year of which 11 percent are recycled. There are no legal structures for electronics recycling in Africa yet.
