Email open rates remained steady at around 20% but click-through rates declined. The average gift size was $80.80.

The September 2009 issue of NTEN Connect had a review of trends in online giving. 2009 proved to be another important year for online giving by nonprofit organizations. Blackbaud’s research found that online revenue grew by 46% in 2009 compared to 2008. The average online gift in December 2009 was $244.17.
