Use clear calls-to-action. When creating content, make sure you identify the action you want your reader to take and clearly communicate it (without adding several other asks!). Some of these can be automatic while others may require action from a staff member. This, in turn, means more dollars for your mission. Everyone wins.

Tweets with links have an 86% higher retweet rate and higher engagement overall because people are hesitant to retweet or engage with tweets that do not have a source or a call-to-action.

The three others are Democracy in Action , which is a SaaS that is open source, CitySoft says it’s open source, but I don’t know whether it is through an OSI approved license (since they don’t say. That said, for the most part, except for CitySoft and vTiger, people seemed very satisfied with these tools.

In the video he even points down to the donation form from his YouTube box, asking the viewer to donate right now to kick of the 2008 campaign activities. They have had video contests, and have made lots of 30-second spots.
