One of the metrics that bloggers track is "Authority" or the number of blogs linking to a blog within the last six months. Most bloggers use the Technorati index to benchmark authority ranking. The last six months, my Technorati rank has been the same, I have not moved the needle. and a must-read. Of course we do.

Seems like the "top bloggers lists" or "the best of XYZ blogs" lists are circulating. Stephen goes on to critique automated rating services like Technorati. " Nor should they feel that rankings - Technorati or otherwise - are in some way indicative of the quality of the writing, despite what McLeod claims.

This is Nancy White making a toast at the Saturday night dinner which was going to be nonprofit bloggers, but was a large group of everyone who wanted to eat together. There was a "birds of feather" nonprofit table and I think I photographed most of the bloggers with an interest in nonprofit blogging.

And October is once again the month when bloggers step up to the plate for the Social Media Challenge , now in its third year. Last year, bloggers big and small raised $270,000 to provide 65,000 students with the resources needed to learn.

There are a lot of answers to that question, but if you want to do outreach to bloggers about an issue you care about, here are a few tips: 1. Search for bloggers who write about topics related to your cause on Technorati , Google Blog Search and Ask.com's blog search engine. Most bloggers aren't paid to blog.
