This week, I''m celebrating three years on the job as the executive director of the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History. Most significantly, we are adding three full-time positions to our team. This spring marked a big conceptual shift for me and the museum. We are now squarely out of turnaround and into growth mode.

It was hard to feel confident in myself when I got made fun of, when I had trouble reading out loud or when I had to forgo fun time to sit and read with my teachers. I love people.
