Fluid is an application you can use to create Site Specific Browsers (SSBs) on the Mac based on the Safari rendering engine (WebKit). When you launch the application you just tell it which page should now be treated as a stand-alone application. Unread indicators for Gmail, Yahoo! And it’s free!! This is killer.

Pro-Android: I have 3 email accounts, all Gmail. In fact, the only application I use that doesn’t exist on Android yet is Salesforce and I know that’s coming soon. It took a while, but I finally have a template that seems to be working well for us: I’ve tested the template in Outlook (2003 and 2007), Gmail, AOL, Yahoo and Apple Mail and it looks just like the screen shot above, or close enough. By a very wide margin. There are HTML editors of all different shapes and sizes.

3 Gmail accounts, no problem. No clunky calendar sync application. The built-in Maps application is fantastic. You can jailbreak an iPhone to allow more applications/tweaks. You can root an Android phone to allow more applications/tweaks. Switching between them is a pleasure compared to on the iPhone.

I have a tendency to keep a bunch of apps open at once, and when of those applications is Firefox my entire system quickly drags to a crawl. Badge shows the message, making it easy to delete/archive messages without going to full Gmail interface. It's been my default on the Windows side of my Mac for some time.
