While success was in doubt up until the last minute (why do I work in technology?) It was really interesting going to Rwanda, such an amazingly different place from where I live, and then spending a lot of time working with technology. And then there was the volunteer work. My trip to Rwanda was amazing. This first post is going to be about the volunteer project I was a part of.

Thanks to advances in communications technology, the daily commute to work for many people has transformed from a stressful car ride through heavy traffic to an easy stroll to the home office. This growing trend, often described as telecommuting or e-commuting, reflects a fundamental change from the traditional concept of work (performed in an office, on a nine-to-five schedule) to a more adaptive, results-based one.

There are all kinds of ways your nonprofit could use Animoto videos: an overview of your organization’s mission, your annual gala, for the launch of a new program, featuring staff at work in the office or at events, etc. Animoto is a service that allows you to create videos about your nonprofit using a selection of your organization’s best photos.
