Google, I think I’m over you. Nonprofit Salesforce Practitioners (NPSF) is a 6 year-old Google Group now with over 1700 members, averaging around 300 messages a month. We have the group set so topics are public, but only members can post and membership has to be approved to avoid spam. Google Groups is free.

Use a backup plugin if you don’t want to spend time backing up manually (although you should do manual backups that create a complete history of your site at least once or twice a year) and be sure you’re storing the backup copies in a safe and remote location such as Dropbox, Google Drive or another cloud-based service.
