It’s sobering – as much as I love technology, it scares me how much damage it can do to both people and the environment, once we’re done with it, and ready to upgrade to something new.

There seemed (to me) to finally enough interesting people and things to follow on twitter – it began to seem like microblogging was more that just about what kind of tuna sandwich someone was eating (although it sometimes still is that.)

It’s made me a much more hopeful, optimistic, happy, and ironically better-informed individual which ultimately results in more patience and kindness in my social media work. Silence is also good. There is an interesting tension over how much of this new work one can bring inside the iron walls of the executive branch without exposing the strategy and workings of the questions, if not the final analyses themselves.
