The group was mostly young (teens to thirties) and nerd-diverse: a little bit punk, a little bit hacker, a little bit craft grrl. It was pretty freaking amazing.

I’m thinking of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, which is trying to be a museum for people, but is also a national and collection-based place. Some art people would say it’s not a museum since it’s not real stuff.
