The event was oversold, and participants raved about the experience. Everything about the event--from the time slot to the tone of the content to the music played--was designed for that audience. Looking closer, I saw that each seat had its own handwritten label, telling the story of the Philadelphia cultural institution from which it originated. They were there for artist talks. The cuts were so deep that school music rooms are full of unplayable instruments. But it also makes their "front-end" experience incoherent.
