Just before noon, I decided to go online and see what those in my networks were sharing from their own celebrations or reflections, and immediately found the #GoSilent campaign from Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA). It pulled me in, and then everywhere I looked online I saw it was pulling in others! A simple commitment.

San Francisco to teaching reading in Atlanta, to rebuilding homes and lives in the Gulf coast communities. The organization works to educate.

We are also funding very special after school art classes in Afghanistan through our partnership with Trust In Education. We know that creativity and freedom of expression go a long way in educating children to be tolerant and open minded. We must raise $1,000 to keep our classes going for another year.
