So, this sent me over to my new typepad metrics dashboard to see what the impact might be. I had to wait until I could get on the Virgin America wifi to follow the ant trails. I discovered that I was on the Twitter suggested users list! If I was one of the nonprofits on the list, I'd be tracking conversions via a Twitter landing page.

For an organization doesn't have skill in HTML and other technical stuff, TypePad and WordPress.com (the hosted version) are likely a good fit. TypePad is in fact the only good choice if you want to really tailor the colors and add your logo but don't have HTML experience.

I use typepad, so I wanted place the widget in the sidebar of my blog as well. What ChipIn allows us to do with the widget and page is do this grassroots fundraising via my blog. It was very easy to set up! The service is still in beta, so there were still some minor glitches.

I've switched over the typepad auto posting to Facebook which worked great, but now seems to have crapped out. I've tried two other Flickr to Facebook apps but they are glitchy and also don't integrate with your Facebook photos album. I use a variety of tools for this analysis, including Google Analytics, Feedburner subscriber counts, and manually tracking comment to post ratios (typepad doesn't have a nifty plugin like wordpress to automate that grunge work) A tool that use to evlauate my content is PostRank.

Better if you are using typepad because you don't have to edit your template and you can use a wizard. I also played around with Blog Binder where you can order (pay for) a nice bound hard copies of your blog. Not for the non-technical user if using blogger, although there are half-decent step-by-step instructions.

I don't know how good the Typepad RSS traffic stats are, but you might want to look at reburning your feed at Feedburner.com. I think that people just beginning to learn about these subjects could really benefit from a Subscribe in MyYahoo or MyMSN or Bloglines button. They have great stats and services.
