(h/t h/t Robert Scoble ) This aggregate data shows exactly when and how many people in the San Francisco were bolted awake by the recent Napa Valley earthquake.

Ushahidi Harnesses Data for Social Good. The goal was to provide a platform for ordinary Kenyans to report incidents of violence happening around them. As Hersman says , "Sometimes there is just nothing more you can do than report what you see." Ushahidi got its start in early 2008.
