In less than 24 hours, I've raised $806 to help children in Cambodia using a new feature in Facebook Causes. Not two minutes had passed after I set up my birthday campaign and added it to my profile, I got pinged from Facebook friends asking how they could install it. It's easy to set up. I first heard about the Cambodian support of these efforts via Mean Lux's Facebook profile and his blog post.

Polly isn't one of my friends on Facebook, although I hope she friends me. I thought top friends was a great way to acknowledge your donors, but if they privacy settings do not allow displaying their name/photo on your profile, you won't be able to add them to your list. This happens a lot with Facebook apps. I'm not sure why.

The director of the Center has been there since 1977 and is originally from Cambodia. One group mapped out a strategy for how they would present this plan and map to others on staff to involve them in the implementation of the strategy - individuals using the profiles. The venue, the IRDC , was wonderful place.
