Louis City Museum's amateur video contest. And in June, they launched a creative user-generated content contest. The videos would be submitted into a contest, and the winning submission would be posted on their MySpace page and featured in a film festival. Why wasn't this a huge success like the Oreo Jingle contest ?

There's also a profile of the Humane Society's recent $50,000 contest win from Microsoft. The Chronicle sets up a twitter account to broadcast links to blog posts. This is useful if you want both broadcast AND use your laptop to take notes (or answer email). It also offers groups where members can share slide decks.

They just finished a YouTube video contest. But other things--the twitter thing, the video contest was my idea. We’d received a video PSA from Pratt students, and I proposed the contest. Flickr photos and Youtube videos are open and available to all. It’s really fabulous when Flickr or YouTube or Blip.tv
