I identified a trend forming with social networking, and set up our very first profile. What social media tools are you currently utilizing? We don’t use it like we use Facebook, for advocacy, fundraising, and relationship building. We’ve done so many things in social media that flopped. Please summarize your ROI.

The tools I am currently using are Facebook, two Twitter accounts (one for National messaging via @PanCAN and one specifically for advocacy efforts via @Advocate4PanCAN), YouTube, LinkedIn, MySpace and Delicious. Who maintains your social media campaigns? Are they paid, full-time, part-time? I track the ROI a few ways. (1)

We have 325 social media sites that we post to regularly, but in addition to all of the ones that everyone knows about, two of the most effective are Posterous and TrafficGeyser because we can post once to these accounts and they syndicate out to hundreds of article, podcast, blog, video and photo sites at once.
