San Francisco Meets the Metaverse: 32 Nonprofits and their supporters will host a grand opening celebration Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 5:30 p.m. PT/SLT, in their new locations at the Nonprofit Commons in Second Life. Generously donated by the world???s Audio and video content will be streamed live between the two worlds.

Part of my job is to help put together Net Tuesdays in San Francisco, monthly meetings for social changemakers and web innovators to socialize, network and share resources. PT/SLT (Second Life time), 32 Nonprofits and their supporters will host a grand opening celebration in their new offices in the Nonprofit Commons in Second Life.

The live video feed was being streamed from the Netsquared gathering in San Francisco happening at the same time as the virtual gatherng in Second Life. Jeska Linden , Community Manager for Linden Labs, has the mike in her hand, while her avatar is behind the podium in Second Life.
