Tonight we worked on Harry's slide show. I showed him the basics of how to extract the photos from the camera, how to insert them into PowerPoint, and some basic instruction on PowerPoint. I like to use videos as part of the instruction to trigger discussion or something at the end as a group bonding mechanism. I just discovered a way to embed the video directly in a slide. You need Powerpoint 2007 and a live Internet connection in order to make it work. I'm knee deep in creating some new workshop curriculum.

The conference in Morocco was a “tri-lingual event” and was translated into French, English, and Arabic, although the content and instructional design were identical to the event in Jordan. It was particularly rewarding to see instructional techniques (the social media game ) that I had developed and been using since 2007 used by someone else. We lost electricity and could not use the powerpoint. She used the white board to draw the concepts in the slides. Mary did a fabulous job! Mary did not loose a beat.
