When I'm ready to build materials, I start with me setting up a workshop wiki It becomes a hub for all electronic materials. My job was the network weaver.

The nonprofit technology community is a robust knowledge sharing network widely dispersed across many blogs, tweets, discussion boards, Facebook walls, etc. A wiki is a great low-cost solution if your community is comfortable with it technically. Some are successful, but messy. That can make it difficult to navigate.

I slapped a list of blogs in my wiki for me. The taxonomy is rudimentary and not very informative. I put on a wiki for easy maintenance and for whoever stumbles upon it and might find it useful as I believe in open content and open thinking. So, my wild fantasy would be a wiki with: a-critieria of what makes a good blog.

The content on the wiki has now organized into an instructional format as a two-day face-to-face workshop. In addition, we had expert knowledge in the room from JD Lasica, Paul Lamb.

I’ve been playing with the conversational panel or conversational keynote models for short sessions (60, 75 or 90 minutes.) I had mic runners stationed at different quadrants of the room who would go to the person who wanted to speak. It was hard to get people as engaged as a full group after the table discussions.
