Today, I received an email with a reference to hamburger meat and at first I thought it was more spam. program announcing their "grant contest" for local non-profit groups raising funds to positively impact their community in some way. It's interesting that they are targeting bloggers as part of their publicity strategy.

They just finished a YouTube video contest. Spam, obscenity--they just aren't an issue at all. We get so much spam on MySpace, whereas on Flickr and Facebook and the blog we never get spam. But other things--the twitter thing, the video contest was my idea. A place that makes it all pretty darn cool.
