One thing I learned just two weeks ago from a phone call to the TechSmith tech support guy is that the.wmv files from Ready/Talk can be run through microsoft media encoder - so they could be pulled into Camtasia and edited. However, the idea of editing a long file in Camtasia does not sound appealing to me.).

I would love to see more instructional videos as well. However, I can only get as far as the free evaluation copy of captivate or camtasia allows. The Learning Center has great potential - it looks like it is just getting underway -- but looks like they have identified some expert people in each of the topics.

TechSmith also makes cool free/paid video capture Jing as well more complex Camtasia – all good. Create a lesson, add a step, capture and annotate a screen, add notes, and on to the next step. I still use TechSmith's Snagit for more complicated screen capturing and it does a nice integration with Word.

The timing errors make it more of a comedy than an instructional video, but you have to start somewhere. Next I'm going to try the free trial of Camtasia (Udell uses that one) and go back to fooling with Camstudio (the free open source tool). I hope you get a good laugh. Here's the script.
