They're similar to the fake Amazon HDTV receipts I wrote about in September. These aren't as lame-looking as most of the spam I write about: they use the right logos, fonts, and typefaces. 2) The Amazon receipts have no details about what I purchased. 3) I got a dozen of the Amazon spams. The most amusing part is that the shipping address is a mail merge field with my email address inserted. We have to inform yo that amazon shipped your item, and that this completes your order. Use a tool like Constant Contact, Mail Chimp, or something similar to send out your email newsletter. If you try to use your regular email, you run the risk of being marked as spam, looking unprofessional, and not being able to measure open rates. CAN SPAM laws so you don’t have to worry about it. Today, the overuse of hashtags is considered hashtag spamming. You will not receive the donor’s mailing address, but if the donor opts-in, you will receive their email address. The concept was that if you used 10, 20, or even 30 hashtags, your nonprofit would be more likely to reach potential new followers. Not anymore.

They do the mailing. Maybe you send one email, and you don’t do any direct mail. Maybe you do like, you know, five emails and like four direct mail pieces. Just choose in the poll how many appeals mail and email you sent. There’s the Amazon list or the deal-of-the-day. No spam here.
