Wendy Harman, American Red Cross According to Wendy Harman, employees at the Red Cross were blocked from accessing social networking sites, like Facebook, from work. 2008 has been a record year for disasters and therefore a record year for disaster response. Recently, a change in policy has allowed access.

In 2008, I was honored to be on one of the few nonprofit panels on the agenda. In 2008, I designed the Nonprofit and Social Media ROI Poetry Slam and last year was a panel on crowdsourcing that modeled crowdsourcing in the design and delivery. My friends responding with public questions about what else was needed or suggesting fundraising strategies.
