Museum 2.0

The Tech Virtual is a project that allows people to conceptualize and prototype exhibits online. The online platform has two parts: a website , where all projects originate, and a Second Life presence ("The Tech" in Second Life), where participants can communicate in real-time, share ideas, and build virtual prototypes.

People--especially young folks looking to break into the museum business--often ask me how I got here. I met lovely people in engineering, but I found the work to be too detail-oriented and microscopic in scope to satisfy me. I had a healthy second life as a slam poet, and I loved the world of artists and performance.
